Welcome to SPREG

The Scottish Parliament Renewable energy & Energy efficiency Group (SPREG) is an official cross party group of the Scottish Parliament. Its aim is to bring together Members of the Scottish Parliament (MSPs) and others with an interest in renewable energy & energy efficiency in Scotland.

The group meets regularly to discuss issues of key interest to ensure ongoing development of renewable energy that supports economic, social and environmental gain in Scotland.

The purpose of SPREG is:

'To bring together Members of the Scottish Parliament and others with an interest in renewable energy and energy efficiency in Scotland. The group will meet to ensure an exchange of information between Members of the Parliament, industry, NGOs and other interested parties. This may take place through presentations, debates, newsletters and production of reports.'

SPREG is run by an officer group of MSPs, with secretariat and treasurer support provided by Scottish Renewables Forum & The Energy Saving Trust (Scotland) and a regular programme of meetings is held throughout the year.
